Until now, it seemed like your best chance of getting on an HGTV show was to live in Canada (we're talking about your shows, Drew and Jonathan [1]!) or to live in a hotbed of cool like New York, Austin, or SoCal; but there's good news for those living in the charming Southeast. HGTV is casting a slew of new shows in your area.

We're most excited about a new home renovation show being shot in Charleston, South Carolina [2], focusing on families who've recently purchased a fixer-upper home and are looking to do renovations. It sounds a lot like another one of our favorite shows (ahem, Chip and Joanna [3]).

Over in Nashville, Tennessee, they're looking for families who need to update their current home before they can sell it for top dollar, and beginner house flippers throughout the Gulf Coast area [4] are being summoned for a new show that will help them get their first-time flip off the ground.

After years of shooting in Toronto, Canada, Love It or List It shot its first season in the US in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, in 2015 and – judging by the HGTV casting call [5] – it seems Hilary and David are coming back again this year.

We're ready to head down South, put on our cowboy boots, and kick up some renovation dust – or at least pour a sweet tea and tune into HGTV when these shows premiere.
