Nice and New: Letterpress Peacock Poster

Sycamore Street Press should be proud as a peacock of its Fancy Seeing You Here Print ($30). As you can see, pairing one of nature's most glamorous birds with one of the most luxurious styles of printing is a recipe for success. A vintage Vandercook letterpress is used to hand-crank these ornately designed posters one at a time and one color at a time, giving them a texture as gorgeous as a peacock's plumage. Top that with flirty typography and two keen color choices and I'm sold.

Letterpressed paper has a certain unique tactile experience that just isn't the same as on a home computer :( Although, I'm sure it will still look cheery, for me, it's the difference between a painting and a print- just not the same as the original.

That can be done on your home computer using any color you like. In fact, I think I'll give it a try!! I already have a pretty frame I bought at a consignment store.
