Open House: How Are You Doing on Your Home Resolutions?

As soon as the new year rolls around, many of us draw up to-do lists chronicling everything we'd love to do to improve our homes. I'd give myself a solid B+ on my resolutions, which included re-organizing closets and doing more every day, little house cleanings instead of major weekly ones. I also have had to add a few other items to my list that I'd conveniently forgotten about, including buying a dresser for the soon-to-arrive baby's room and whipping up a changing pad cover for the top of it (that last item still needs to be checked off).

So, how are you doing on your list of home resolutions? Have you been able to keep up with your list, or do you still need to tackle it? What have you been able to cross off your to-do list, and what things have been added? Tell me all about it in the comments!

Better get cracking on your list, casa, because once the baby arrives you won't have time for any projects for awhile! (don't worry, it's worth it!) My hubby's (mostly) a SAHD, so we're hoping he can tackle a lot of our house projects while i'm home on maternity leave this spring. The only this we've done is a winter version of spring cleaning and sorted our baby stuff into what we do and don't need.

I already reorganized our closet, moved furniture in the living room, threw away all the stuff I don't need in the kitchen and finally got to organizing the home office. I'm proud of myself! Congrats on the baby!

I found out that just getting new curtains can make your whole room look different. My husband put up new curtains, red, in my bedroom. He also dressed my opened closet with matching curtains. The whole room took on a different look, beautiful. I'm going to get a matching spread and made a resolution to keep it looking nice.

Congrats on the baby, Casa! I've crossed 9 of 41 things off my house to-do list so far. Hopefully I'll keep that momentum up (or even speed it up a little) and get through this list before summer.
