I like to store everything in clear containers. That way, I can clearly see the item, and it acts as an informal label, as it's obvious what goes in there, and what the item is. For the clear containers, I like to re-use plastic or glass food containers, like peanut butter jars, olive jars, etc. I just soak the containers to remove the labels, and voila, I have a new storage unit. It's a good way to recycle, too.

I should so do that RoaringSilence! My husband always complains that he doesn't know where things belong...Which leads to him just leaving everything out...which drives me crazy... My tip is definetely color coordinating your closet. It always looks neat that way and makes it easier to find the things, especially if you have 10 white tops...

I think labels are crucial, especially when you live with someone else. My husband can never remember where he's supposed to put stuff, so that is the only way to go. And it even helps house guests.
