Open House: Where Would You Start Renovating?

I think that most of us have daydreams about how we would renovate our homes, if we had the time or the money. For me, I'd work on turning the undeveloped space on the bottom level of my house into a guest room/office space. Other friends of mine dream about trading out their showers for old-fashioned clawfoot tubs. And I bet a lot of us would love to upgrade our kitchens with new cabinets and appliances. What is your most coveted renovation project?

We are still renting (booo), but I would change the kitchen here first. The appliances are new(er), but it really needs new cabinets, countertops and a new floor. We have this crappy linoleum that never looks totally clean no matter what I do to it.

I'm content with our home. I would focus on landscape design.

It would either be the Kitchen or the Master Bath.

I would LOVE to completely redo my upstairs bathroom. It's not turned on and pretty much is just a room for junk which is horrible, because it's so beautiful. The mirrors (there are two, one smaller medicine-cabinet mirror and one HUGE vanity mirror above the sink) are gorgeous, and there's a sort of cut-off section between the shower and toilet/sink. It's fricking gorgeous, but I don't have the money to update it or check the pipes so I can turn it on.

My bathrooms. I would love to create a little, private oasis!

If I had the money, it would be the second bath. It has a both tub and toilet in harvest gold, and the countertop/sink is a marble-look resin which looks more like a melted butterscotch sundae.
