Open House: Your Outdoor Furnishings

Unless you live in the South, or don't mind bundling up in the Winter to sit outside, your outdoor spaces (decks, balconies, patios, rooftops, etc.) probably aren't the most high-traffic areas of your home. But, since Summer is in full effect, and many of you may be entertaining outdoors this weekend to celebrate the Fourth of July, I thought I'd ask you about your outdoor furnishings.Do you feel that your outdoor spaces are fully furnished? Do you still need a few things for it to feel complete? What's missing? Is it furnished at all? What furnishings do you have on your decks, patios, balconies, and pool areas? How do you accessorize those areas? Do you have potted plants? Patio umbrellas? Indian-inspired Pergola tents? Hammocks? Outdoor rugs? Firepits? Is there a theme or look that runs through your outdoor spaces, such as colorful and portable rooftop décor? Tell me by commenting below!

We have an excellent front porch which is only sparsely furnished at the moment. there are some plants (two even on plant stands), a wicker love seat I got extremely cheap at a thrift store and two random wooden chairs. hopefully some more will be added to it. I love spending time out there!

We live in the south, and our outdoor areas are just as important as our indoor. We have a pergola, outdoor seating, tables, our grill...We also have a hammock and lighting. We also have lemon, lime, and orange trees... The one thing we don't have but I really want is a fantastic wind chime. I'm looking for the perfect one...

I have a table set with an umbrella and four chairs, a few planters, and a little side table that I keep my watering can on. I want a new patio set next year...something a little bigger. I also want a deck storage box that doubles as a bench. I need a place to keep all my cushions.

We live in a trailer park which is not the most glamorous place to entertain or to even hang out outside. When we get our own piece of land we'll be going all out outside. Right now we just have a patio table with an umbrella and chairs, potted plants on the steps and random lawn chairs. We haven't even eaten outside yet this year.

Our terrace has a round mesh metal folding table in black and 2 black metal chairs from Ikea. The chairs have yellow/greenish dotted cushions. We also have this GREAT glansa lysa outdoor "chandelier" hanging from the ceiling. I also got a tall plant holder from Anthropologie which now houses a plant that I am in the process of killing (unintentionally, of course). I would love to splurge on some "window boxes" to hang along the rail of the terrace, but I don't know how long we'll be here and the summer is never as long as it should be anyway.

This is my next area to furnish. Our front porch has a wicker table, wicker chairs, a porch swing, decorative mat and some planters. The back patio has a flowerbed and some planters, but nothing else. We grab lawn chairs when we have outdoor get togethers, but I'd really like some nice furniture and decor.
