Earlier this month, our pals at ShelterPop gave us a peek at Costa Mesa, CA-based design firm Pal + Smith's new 4,000-square-foot storefront. The space is high on glam factor and bursting with color and quirk — my favorite style to a T. Co-owner Melissa Palazzo says, "My favorite thing about our new store is the book wall! The 16-foot tall bookcase houses my latest must reads on lifestyle subjects including architecture, photography, music, and fashion." I would have to agree that it's my favorite as well! I have a funky little ledge in my living room, and I've been displaying my art and design books in the same fashion for some time; I love it! Morever, this space just has a brilliantly eclectic mix of furnishings. From the moody skill drawing to the glamorous crystal chandelier to the wild zebra rug, there's a little bit of everything.

The best way to re-create this look, of course, is to head straight to Pal + Smith's new store. But since it's a trek for most of us, I thought I'd round up some furnishings that re-create this style. The Paul Smith Love Too needlepoint wallhanging ($3,125) would be right at home in this space. Another quirky and posh piece is the Paul Loebach Distortion Candlestick ($24); I love surrealist, melting shape. Click the product images to shop the rest of this look!
