Pallet Chair DIY

Designer Pierre Vedel Shares a Pallet Chair Pattern

Pallet hacks abound on the Internet, and I've shared some clever pallet designs in the past, from pallet bed frames to outdoor lounges. But I had no idea that part of the reason behind the pallet DIY's popularity is the sheer number of pallets in the world. Apparently, two billion pallets are currently in circulation, and two-thirds of the pallets are only used once. Designer Pierre Vedel has offered his own solution to the overabundance of pallets by designing a complete armchair built from just one pallet. Offered under a free Creative Commons download, with DraftSight's free CAD software from Dassault, you can download the pattern for free. Find out more information on Vedel's pallet chair by checking out the full article on Treehugger.
