This Barn Was Restored With the Absolute Coolest Addition We've Ever Seen

While we're no stranger to an applause-worthy home renovation, this addition to a renovated barn in Austin, TX, has us completely captivated. While it was originally built in upper New York around 1860, the barn was recently restored in Austin and completed with a custom-built slide to get downstairs. Finally, our childhood dream of sliding down the stairs has come true!

The barn, which was built for processing hops, has taken the high loft and turned it into an open space and sleeping area. Back in the day, hops were an "important cash crop used in the making of beer," and the high ceilings were used to dry the vine-like plant.
