CS: Are those carnations in the centerpiece? They look so luxurious and elegant. How did you come up with this centerpiece?
JB: The center piece was carnations, 350 to be exact, cut and placed in floral foam (without water). [I was] not sure if they would last both evenings (which they did). I had more sitting at home just in case. There was one dress in McQueen's collection that I was particularly drawn to. The model came out onto the runway wearing a pair of deer antlers about two feet high with an ivory lace veil over top and draping over her face . . . which then continued into an incredible ivory lace gown with a long train. I wanted to try and replicate this look with the flowers and thought that when grouped together carnations created this effect.
