This past weekend, I stopped by Tamberlane, an adorable home decor and gift shop in Sebastopol, CA. The store features everything from matryoshka glasses to beautiful handmade cabinets, oilcloth bags, and original paintings. Needless to say, I spent quite a bit of time wandering through the shop.
The very first thing that caught my eye upon stopping at Tamberlane were these pretty pendant lamps. After chatting with the shop's co-owner, Fern, for a bit, I discovered that the charming pendant lamps that were hanging over a jewelry case were actually upcycled antique drinking glasses.

Fern's brother used a drill to bore a hole into the bottom of each glass, then wired them for pendant lights. Fern reports that it took about half an hour to drill into each one since the glass threatened to break. Well worth the effort, I'd say. The shop now boasts original lighting that adds to the unique feel of this very special little store. Be sure to stop in next time you're traveling through Sonoma County, CA, and check out more photos of this shop on Facebook!
