I devoured the novel The Help in two days, and while I was most inspired by the women's and civil-rights-oriented plotline, I also couldn't help but appreciate the decorating details with which author Kathryn Stockett peppered the pages. Judging from the preview pictures from the movie version of The Help, the film is offering an accurate picture of the decorating trends of the early '60s. I can't wait to see the film in person and see each woman's home in full detail. Until then, I'm reflecting on some trends showcased in the movie that are timeless, as well as some that deserve to stay in the '60s. Take a look!
