The sink bowl and wooden countertop in the bathroom at my house always seem to get stained almost as soon as I clean them. Whether it's an errant bit of toothpaste or a streak of soap scum, it's never quite as clean for as long as I'd like it to be.
Since there's one bathroom sink for two people and a baby, I can't be on top of every last water ring and soap dollop. Instead of complaining or doing all of the cleaning myself, I asked my husband to help me out. I hung a cleaning cloth in a discrete area to the side of the sink, where no one can see it unless they know it's there. Then I stationed a bottle of spray cleaner nearby. Now, whenever someone notices a mess, a quick spray and wipe are all it takes to remedy the situation. And miracle of miracles — my husband's actually starting to see the mess more often than not.
Have you tried spot cleaning like this at your house?
