Spray Scents For Home

The Most Expensive Thing I Have Ever Wanted in a Plastic Spray Bottle

Legendary perfumer Frédéric Malle has set his sights on a new target: your house. In November, he is adding three new Perfume Gun (yes, that is really what they are called) scents to his home collection: Un Gardénia la Nuit, Chez Monsieur, and Marius & Jeannette. With prices starting at $145, these home sprays fall firmly in the luxury goods column, but we can't help but be a little bit tempted. Early reports claim that the 17-oz. spray bottles last for months and do an excellent job at dispersing a long-lasting scent into your lair, but we want to know more before pulling the trigger (ahem). Is it more effective than a candle? Longer lasting than a diffuser? Basically — is the Perfume Gun worth upwards of $145? We kind of want the answer to be "yes."
