CS: How are the metallics incorporated into the glass, such as in the Guess chandelier project? Is it just a different base for the blown glass? How long does it take to create one of your more elaborate chandeliers, such as the Guess chandelier?
PDL: We blew the spheres in clear glass, then we used a mirroring solution on the inside of the spheres. We came up with a new mirroring color by mixing different solutions to get an interesting coppery gold effect. Those chandeliers took about two months each to make. There were a lot of structural elements. The canopies and the lighting system were complex.
