Weird Furniture: Philip Watts Caterpillar Bench

Phillip Watts has given new meaning to the term buggin' out with his Caterpillar Bench ($8,507), a three-seater bench of highly-polished cast aluminum shaped to resemble the leaf-eating larva. I don't know about you, but I'd prefer to see this piece of weird furniture metamorphose into a beautiful butterfly. What about you? Would you take a seat on this creepy crawler?

Cool! Although, at that price it's quite hard to justify, even if it were an option. But still, a really cool piece.

That looks so cool! I wish my husband would agree to an artistic piece like that in our entryway!

Since I'm terrified of centipedes, you couldn't even pay ME $8500 to sit on it.

I think this would be beautiful as a sculptural bench in a park, but I don't think I'd want it in a home, or even an office.

Freaky! I probably would not sit on it for fear of scratching it. It's an art piece.
