This is so ironic becuz me & my man were just going thru this battery dilemma tonite! I had saved a couple of AA's & one was getting "yucky". the battery stuff was coming out & he threw it in the trash but I wasn't sure this was right! so I'm glad I went on sugar tonite & got the info we needed! now I don't feel so bad throwing batteries in the trash! thanks!

I bet so many music greeting cards are thrown away. This should be more publicized. I had no idea they were hazardous! Hallmark should let the consumers know this.

BS Casasugar. Alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, etc) can and should be recycled. They aren't as toxic as other types, but throwing them in the trash is irresponsible.
