Would You Want These Sculptures in Your City?

I'm a big fan of public art in general, and I'm digging the childlike whimsy contained in these aluminum sculptures, entitled "Moonrise Sculptures: March, October, and December." Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, who often adapts pop culture phrases into unique art pieces, is responsible for these cartoon-like busts, which sit outside a plaza in downtown San Francisco. Would you want similar sculptures in your city or town?

There's no room for any more sculptures, what with the colorful pig sculptures all over our city. Oh, I just remembered that I don't live there anymore. Here in Twentynine Palms we have murals everywhere, but no sculptures.

Ha. We already have a giant blue horse with bulging veins and red glowing eyes in front of our airport. Why not scare people off even more. Sarcasm.

I like them a lot, but doubt the rural village where I live could pull them off without them looking really out of place.

What fun! They look very Edward Gorey to me, and I would love to see them in NY -- it would add a touch of whimsey to my day!
