Sutton Brings Past and Present Together to Make Any Place Home
Sutton scanned the store for eclectic pieces that make her smile. She chose a lacquered orange box with beautiful agate on top that will live in her dressing room. Sutton gravitated towards it because it reminded her of another box that her BFF Julien painted for her that contains mementos from all the Broadway shows they did together (think: notes from fans, props from previous shows, a shell). Anything that makes her laugh or offers a moment of escape while she's chilling backstage is a good thing as far as Sutton is concerned.

Sutton Uses Her Time Off Stage to Get Creative
Sutton is a prolific creative in many mediums. Of course, she sings, dances, and acts, but she also writes, cooks, draws, paints, and crochets. All her dressing rooms are set up to make space for her to feel inspired and get crafty with strategic accessories. She keeps a notebook on hand to jot down ideas, she cocreates art projects with her friend Julien, and she always has a basket filled with yarn for crochet projects.

Sutton Shares Her Space
Although dressing rooms are tiny, Sutton usually shares her space with her two pups, Mabel and Mister Brody, as well as her best friend Julien and sometimes her husband, TV writer Ted Griffin. All design decisions are made with these loved ones in mind. Julien has helped create most of her dressing rooms; there's a sleeping space for the pups along with lots of toys, and all her rooms have comfy seating for Ted and other guests when they visit.
