Shopping for new home decor and furniture is a great way to refresh your space without having to do a total remodel. From the most comfortable sofas to side tables, any piece can change the way a room feels and be a personal reflection of your own style. That said, finding the right additions isn't always easy. To help you know what to look out for while home shopping this year, we consulted the experts of BoConcept, a contemporary Danish furnishings brand, for details on the latest home furniture trends of 2023.

Kalina Todorova, BoConcept's visual merchandising manager, tells POPSUGAR to expect a shift away from the calm, neutral aesthetic that's been popular the last few years. "This season, we see more optimism through colors in interiors. Along with muted greens, classy blues, warm caramels, and terracotta, interiors will be infused with vibrant accents like Pantone's Viva Magenta color of the year," she says. If you're into biophilic design, the principle characterized by filling your space with plants, complement the look with ceramics in natural finishes and soft furnishings in wool, cotton, leather, and silk. "Think 'nature' when accessorizing too," she says.

To elevate your living room, Todorova recommends choosing designs that have "soft organic curves" to make your home feel like a sancturary. "Curvaceous silhouettes can still retain a clean minimalism, making your home visually calming and cohesive," she says. In the market for a new couch? Bouclé material remains a top choice. "We recommend this fabric on accent pieces, pouf ottomans, living chairs, or cushions," she says.

Whether you're searching for a new dining table, large sectional sofa, or just a cute accent piece, we curated the best furniture pieces that feature Todorova's 2023 trend predictions: vibrant colors, natural finishes, soft curves, and bouclé material. Revamp your house for the new year by shopping our top picks ahead.
