In a country that's becoming increasingly multiracial and multiethnic, Walter Thompson-Hernandez set out to capture a unique group of people through Instagram with his project Blaxicans of LA [1]. Through his project, he's helping share thier stories to help others understand what it really means to be Afro-Latino.
Walter is an LA-based writer and photographer. He will be a first-year PhD student in the UCLA Chicana and Chicano Studies PhD program in the Fall. You can see more from Walter by checking out his Instagram [2].
