If you haven't been tuning into the gymnastics events happening during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil [1], it's time to start. While Team USA [2] is, as predicted, dominating the competition, there are of course standout individual stars from other countries, including Brazil's own pint-sized powerhouse, Flávia Saraiva [3].
The 4'4" athlete, who actually lives blocks away from the Olympic stadium in Rio, truly owned the balance beam qualifications with a jaw-dropping routine on Aug. 7. Complete with difficult moves like multiple tumbling passes across the four-inch-wide structure and a flawless dismount, Flávia proved that she's one to watch. Even Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima [4] took note! The Brazilian model shared a clip of the aforementioned routine [5] on Instagram, captioning the inspiring moment with a proud and supportive message. Above, watch the full thing, which placed Flávia in the top three [6] during the qualifying round. Then, check out all the Latin athletes you should be following [7] during the Games.
