Twenty-three is going to be a good year for Demi Lovato [1], judging by the way she got things started on her birthday on Aug. 20. The singer celebrated with longtime boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama [2], who once again professed his love for Demi on Instagram [3] with a funny and adorable message that read: "Well little angel, another cumpleaños. You inspire millions, and I'm one of them. Your smile keeps getting bigger and bigger with every birthday that comes by! I'm blessed to see it shine . . . 23, You totally look it, werk! I love you AND #YonceSoHardMoaf*ckasWannaFineMe."

But it didn't end there. Demi got what might be the sweetest and tiniest new puppy as a birthday present, and she named him Batman. The couple's dog Buddy passed away [4] in an accident this past July, and the stars have openly discussed how hard it's been to get over their loss.
