Jennifer Lopez Ends Her Tour With a Motivating Message: "You Don’t Get to Write Women Off"

Yes, Jennifer Lopez [1] wanted her "It's My Party" world tour [2] to be a celebration of music, but above all, she wanted it to be a celebration of age — or rather, an acknowledgment of it. On Aug. 27, almost three weeks after her last tour stop in Saint Petersburg, Russia, she basically gave the internet a pep talk in the form of a motivational tour diary on her personal YouTube channel.

"[The tour's] been such a cathartic experience for me. Everybody thought that I was crazy when I wanted to go out and let everybody know that I was 50," Jennifer said. "But for me, it was important. It was important as a woman to do that — to let people know that you don't get to write women off at a certain point in their life. You don't get to write people off."

Jennifer goes on to celebrate her family, fans, and faith by giving glimpses of the adventures she took with her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez [3], and her 11-year-old twins, Max and Emme. Watch the full video above to see Jennifer and her whole crew in action, as she ends this chapter and moves on to her next one: Hustlers [4].
