She first stepped into the public eye thanks to a stint in front of the camera on the Disney show The Wizards of Waverly Place, and the last few months have seen Selena take on another special role: producer.

Last year, Selena confirmed that she was helping produce a series for Netflix based on the book 13 Reasons Why [6]. And now, according to Billboard, Selena is adding another project to her production plate [7].

The publication calls her latest endeavor the "Latina Empire," another series bound for television. The new series is based around the life story of a young woman named Ana Cobarrubias. Selena has reportedly signed on as an executive producer, and her mother, Mandy Teefey, will also be involved.
