It takes stars hours, if not the full day, to get ready for the Met Gala. Some updos and makeup looks are so complicated [1], they steal the show, and some others are so simple by contrast that they end up making a huge impact. Case in point: Sofia Vergara. It only took a few steps to get the Colombian beauty red carpet ready and on the arm of fiancé Joe Manganiello [2]. Her monochromatic makeup was very natural, and paired with her Marchesa ivory gown [3] gave the Hot Pursuit actress a youthful and elegant vibe. We can see her re-creating this exact look for her upcoming wedding.
Makeup artist Kayleen McAdams used just a few CoverGirl products. She started by prepping Sofia's skin with a dewy foundation, a touch of bronzer, and pink blush right on the apples of her cheeks. For the rose gold eyes, Kayleen drew a smudgy line along the star's top eyelashes with CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in Black [4] ($6), and then used a mix of the shimmery gray in the Eye Shadow Quad in Notice Me Nudes [5] ($8) and the sparkling dark pink in the Eye Shadow Quad Blooming Blushes [6] ($8) to create a shade that would stand out against Sofia's olive skin. The soft and creamy mauve lips were created with a coat of Outlast Longwear Lipstick in Plum Fairy [7] ($10). Keep scrolling to see more pictures of Sofia's delicate makeup.
