La Materialista's Star-Studded New Video Will Transport You to a Block Party You'll Want to Join

There's nothing more powerful than a woman who accepts herself and owns every aspect of her life, including her sexuality. That's something that Dominican artist La Materialista has been doing for many years now, flipping the roles in a male-dominated urban music industry and being unapologetically herself while singing about feeling sexy, admiring her body, and taking charge.

After the success of songs like "Click Clock" and "La Chapa Que Vibran," La Materialista is at it again, this time joining forces with Jamaica's Nyla (who's known for her collab "Light It Up" with Major Lazer) and Mr. Vegas, Mexico's Jawy Méndez (who rose to fame thanks to MTV's Acapulco Shore), Colombia's Bomby, and the Dominican Republic's Topo La Maskara in "Toma B," distributed by Glad Empire. The song brings together the Caribbean swag and rhythms with a catchy melody and beats that make you want to get low.

"It's really an honor to be able to share a song with such distinguished voices," La Materialista said in a press release. She added: "I really enjoyed the creative process and the video. I'm glad we can bring a little happiness through our music to everyone who's social distancing at home."

The music video for "Toma B" was shot in the Ciudad Colonial district of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, by Manuel Villalona. It features the artists enjoying the old architectural charm and colors of the area in their tropical attires as they take over the streets for a fun block party.
