The Latin American Music Awards vienen con fuego this year! The show will be broadcasted live on Telemundo on Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. and will air simultaneously on Spanish-language entertainment cable network Universo. The evening kicks off with a one-hour red carpet pre-show La Alfombra de Latin AMAs at 7 p.m. Eugenio Derbez is hosting the Latin music celebration alongside renowned actress Jacqueline Bracamontes.
World-renowned urban artist Daddy Yankee, international star Pitbull, urban sensation Anuel AA, and internationally acclaimed American hip-hop singers Jason Derulo and Ne-Yo are taking the stage for performances. If this still hasn't gotten you excited (seriously?!), you'll also enjoy performances by Piso 21, Nacho, Silvestre Dangond, Raymix, Justin Quiles, Myke Towers, El Micha, Lenier, Darell, Esteman, Greeicy, Georgel, Banda los Sebastianes, Ozuna, Farruko, Gente de Zona, Beret, Abraham Mateo, Christian Nodal, Kali Uchis, Emilia, Sofía Reyes, Lupita Infante, and special feature presentations by Marc Anthony [1] and Becky G.
I think this should've sold you already. But if it hasn't, Marc Anthony and Becky G are both performing and being awarded with the International Artist Award of Excellence and the Extraordinary Evolution Award respectively. This is the first year the Latin AMAs will present the International Artist Award of Excellence, and it's given to artists that turn the world around with their greatness, crossing over language, race, or religion. Their nationality has no borders; they stand for peace, and their songs reverberate as musical anthems.
Meanwhile, the Extraordinary Evolution Award is given to young performers who have demonstrated change and accelerated growth as artists, reaching the pinnacle of success in a short period of time. The first Extraordinary Evolution Award was presented to Colombian singer Maluma last year.
Rounding up the star-studded lineup are all the presenters, which include El Señor de los Cielos cast, Kate del Castillo, Catherine Siachoque, Kimberly Reyes, Gregorio Pernia, Carlos Ponce, David Zepeda, Mark Tacher, María Celeste Arrarás, Dra. Ana María Polo, Larry Hernández, Chiquis and Lorenzo Mendez, De La Ghetto, Dalex, Jhay Cortez, Lunay, Guaynaa, DJ Alex Sensation, Luis Figueroa, Mariah, Farina, Snow, and many more.
