The second supermoon of 2022 is upon us, ushering in the full strawberry moon in Sagittarius [1]. But before we dive into the upcoming supermoon, let's take a step back to focus on June 4 when the Saturn retrograde began [2]. When the planet of structure, discipline, authority, and karma is retrograde, it causes major shifts in the cosmos and in our lives. Saturn goes direct on Oct. 23, giving you time to really restructure your life and pay karmic debts. On June 6 (the sixth day of the sixth month in a six-year, 2+0+2+2=6), a portal opened with energy to infuse stability into our lives and relationships and to find inner peace and safety. So, while 666 often gets a bad rap, it's actually a sign to tap into your spiritual connection. Maybe you've been a bit disconnected, and the 666 portal invites you to reconnect to spirit.

Next up is the supermoon on June 14. It follows the first one, which was the full moon in Scorpio [4] that occurred in May. Supermoons are new or full moons that appear larger due to their proximity to Earth. This supermoon is the full moon in Sagittarius, bringing the good vibes we so need right now and in perfect timing as we gear up for summertime fun!

When Is The Full Moon in Sagittarius?

The full moon in Saggittarius peaks on June 14 at 7:52 a.m. ET, but it won't be visible until later that evening. Because it's a supermoon, our lunar friend will appear larger than usual, and like that big moon, the energy will be huge, too!

What Is the 2022 Full Moon in Sagittarius Meaning?

Like with any full moon, it's a time to shed what no longer serves us in our lives. The supermoon energy amplifies that, giving you the opportunity to really cut chords with things that have had a hold on you. As you allow the lower vibrational things to fall away, you create space to fill with positive, loving energy. And Sagittarius is all about good vibes and embracing that life can truly be joyous and filled with love. Sag urges you to get out there and see the world! Many are still struggling with social anxiety after the pandemic; re-entering society after being isolated for so long has proven difficult for many. If this resonates with you, allow that Sag fire energy to transmute what needs to be healed because under the ashes, your light shines brightly and the universe wants to see you illuminate.

The ninth zodiac sign is also about justice for all. So, ask yourself what changes you want to see in the world and how you could be a part of making them a reality. Sparking the fire within may be just what you need to take those first steps in becoming more civically engaged. This supermoon energy can be directed to bringing justice to the community of Uvalde, TX, as they continue to heal and rebuild after the elementary school massacre that took place on May 24.

Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of personal expansion, this full moon in Sagittarius provides us with a platform for inner healing and what we can do to heal the collective human race.

Spiritual-Cleansing Recipe (Full Moon in Sagittarius Limpia)

Ingredients:

Sage or palo santo [6] for prelimpia cleansing

Flowers: carnations, chrysanthemums (Sag's lucky flower)

Oils: rosemary, jasmine, lavender, tea tree, patchouli, pine

Herbs: sage, basil, saffron, moss, dandelions (related to Jupiter, Sag's ruling planet)

Crystals: blue topaz (birthstone), turquoise, red garnet, blue lace agate, black obsidian

Epsom salt and/or pink Himalayan salt

Florida Water [7] or Agua de Florida

Ritual:

1. Put on your favorite music as you cleanse your space with sage and/or palo santo. If you use both, start with sage, and follow with palo santo. The belief is that sage cleanses the space and palo santo locks in all the goodness.

2. Once your space is ready, you can begin creating your spiritual limpia. Bring a big pot of water to a boil, and add handfuls of your herbs. You can use one or a combination of a few. A personal go-to for the full moon in Sag is dandelions.

3. Allow the herbs to simmer in the pot for 10 to 15 mins. Remove from heat, and let it cool.

4. Add several splashes of Florida Water and your choice of essential oils to the water.

5. After the water has cooled, you can pour the water over your head in the shower, or, if you prefer a bath, you can add it directly to your bath water. Add your flowers of choice on top of the bath water.

6. For a shower, pray as you pour the water over your head, and allow yourself to air-dry. For the bath, pray as you submerge in the water and soak for 20 minutes. Also, allow yourself to air-dry. If you can't air-dry, use a light-colored towel.

Meditate, journal, and pray afterward, envisioning how much that spiritual limpia allowed you to shed.
