In order to pull off best friends Dionne and Cher from Clueless, you'll need plaid miniskirts, matching blazers, knee-high socks, and lots of high-end shopping bags. As if!

If you're going to be the mysterious dame of Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?, then you'll need to hide under a red trench and floppy hat, don all black underneath, and hold a magnifying glass.

To pull off the dry teen besties of the animated series Daria, you'll first need to perfect your most bored expression and disdain for human beings. For Daria, you'll need a green jacket, pleated skirt, combat boots, and her signature glasses. For Jane, you'll need a red shirt, shorts, tights, combat boots, and a few clip-on earrings.

To be Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, you need a pink bodysuit and blue vest and miniskirt — topped off with pigtails!

Dressing as the British pop group Spice Girls is a tried-and-true costume idea for groups of five, and the style of clothing is pretty much spelled out in the nicknames of the members: Scary (animal prints), Sporty (tear-away pants), Baby (pink dress), Ginger (Union Jack dress), and Posh (negligee).

Bring out your inner rocker by dressing as the lead singer of No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, in her Bindi and track pants days. You'll need to put your hair in miniknots and don a crop top with workout pants. Bonus points if you actually sing "Just a Girl"!

Laney's "extreme" makeover in the rom-com She's All That would make for a hilarious combo costume for girlfriends or sisters. "Before" Laney needs glasses, an oversize yellow shirt, and a DIY pita hat (you could make one from felt and pom-poms). "After" Laney needs a sexy red dress, red lipstick, and short brown hair.

Take your sexy nurse costume to the next level with this '90s reference! To dress as the nurse on Blink-182's Enema of the State album cover (porn star Janine Lindemulder), you're going to need fake butterfly tattoos, a nurse outfit, a red bra, and a rubber glove.

If you're going to be angsty teen Angela Chase from My So-Called Life, then you'll need lots of layers in pastels, florals, plaid, and crochet plus oversize striped sweaters. Bonus points if you memorize some of her best quotes.

To be a contestant on Nickelodeon's game show Legends of the Hidden Temple, you're going to need a helmet; knee pads and elbow pads; khaki shorts; and either a red, green, purple, orange, gray, or blue shirt with the coordinating stenciled animal symbols on them. This would also make a great group costume!
