Anatomy of a Douchebag

Do Women Really Fall For Douchebags?!

Some men argue that they act like douchebags because women don't like nice guys. In the following instructional video, a nerdy guy tells other dudes how to nab the girl — by acting like a douche. Do you agree? Do women really fall for douchebags?

I like guys with a bad-boy attitude towards other people, rules or perhaps the law, but the guy has to be sweet to me. He can break some laws (minor ones and not get caught), but if guys wearing multiple pastel polos, big watches, expensive shoes, chewing gum and answering cell phones constantly come near me, I run for the hills. I like manly men who aren't so conceited. Guys who have way too much jewelry, expensive preppy clothes, and techno toys are not attractive at all to me. And if they spend more time in the bathroom than me, then it's definitely a deal-breaker. I would rather a guy be proud of his intelligence, career, hobbies, talents, etc than of his looks. And the misogynic attitude is one that I easily recognize and always avoid.

I think it's pertinent to the area.. for example, a large percentage of woman in Los Angeles MOST DEF like douches. I prefer the Persian/Beverly Hills douchebag variety. :) Those dudes are usually extremely dominant. That's what I find attractive about them.. their ridiculous self-confidence and over-bearing behavior. Not sure why it turns me on, but it does. I think my comment here screams; DADDY ISSUES!

I have never been interested in douchebags. The cockiness is such a turnoff for me. I like a man with self-confidence, but that's a completely different issue. On the other hand, a man who is weak and has no self-confidence is just as much of a turnoff. A man has to have a good balance of being a nice guy, and being able to take care of business.

that vid was hilarious. I absolutely melt for sweet guys. and even if it sounds mean, I admit that I don't even acknowledge if a douchebag says anything to me...I just don't want to encourage them by giving them any sort of attention! ;)

Honestly, who would want to even waste a second of their life on a db...whether you're male or female. And, if you feel like you might like a db, go directly to your therapist for intense counseling, asap. Because, something is really wrong with you. Do not date until your therapist says your ready. That's the end of my public service announcement. May everyone live a db free life. :)

Ewww, I stay clear of any guy with a popped collar, spray on tan, or overly spiked hair.

No, I'd shut the door on the douche. I'll take a nice guy. In fact I wish I had the nice guy I really wanted but unfortunately he was already taken. :(

The same can be said for guys. I used to fall for way too much douchebaggery from girls. Now, at the first sign of DBness I end it. Incidentally, I'm singe now.

I do not surround myself with mean douchebagish people. not my thing. It baffles me why someone would want to be around that.

I'll name is Katie, and I'm a douchebagaholic. Or at least I used to be. I swear that the old cliche about the chase is true for girls as well...looking back, there was something about the fact that a guy didn't seem to WANT to have me or treat me well that made him sexier, more mysterious, more charming when he WAS nice. Problem was, once he (or they) realized I was solidly in, the charming and sexy bits would taper off until all that was left was just a mean, selfish guy. Now there's current boyfriend, my first real live NICE guy, who brought me a fresh muffin at work today for breakfast just because he knows I like them. And this is three months in...sometimes I think I'm lacking the old EXCITEMENT, but then I realize that what I thought was excitement somehow always involved me being angry or upset...and who wants THAT?
