Awaiting Results: Hillary Says "Hoosier" Daddy in Indiana!

Awaiting Results: Hillary Says "Hoosier" Daddy in Indiana!

Hillary Clinton slam dunked Indiana's primary, picking up the biggest share of the Hoosier state's 84 delegates according to CBS News.

Hillary had polled ahead in the state leading up to voting today. The split wins today almost guarantee the campaign will continue through the races up to June 3. Do you think this win legitimizes her ability to continue running? Are you glad she's still in the picture? Six in 10 Democrats say Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama should both continue their presidential campaigns — are you with them?

Al Gore has said this race won't end in a brokered convention — do you agree? Did either of the results surprise you today? Where does the race stand now?

Tim Russert suggested that she has all of this debt that she will want to get rid of before she drops out. He said Obama could buy the debt from her. Is that normal?? He was probably delirious because of the late hour. He also suggested that she will stay in just through West Virginia and Kentucky, and so when Oregon goes for Obama, they will both have a win that night and she can gracefully bow out. I am just hoping that she stops with the lies and exaggerations about Obama. I don't care if she stays in the race, but stop throwing mud at your own party!

You're right, "slam dunk" is an exaggeration as it turns out but sports! It was like that Indiana sports basketball movie! Sigh. ;)

PS - Furthermore, the only way she could surpass Obama in delegates is if she got EVERY state from now until the 13th (6/ that the last primary?), and like I said, even if she did she can't get enough to win. So she must be relying on superdelegates??? Which is an idiotic process and wildly this point who even cares, stop insulting each other and run against McCain, already!!

Even if Hil wins EVERY state primary (isn't Dean calling for one of them to drop out by/in June?) she can not get the delegates needed to get the nod. Obama is ahead in delegates & the popular vote, I'm getting a little pissed off that Clinton won't just drop out, it's hurting the Dems on a whole by dragging this thing out.

Wow, that was pretty exciting. Not quite a "slam dunk" but it was interesting watching the Hammond, IN mayor grill and mention improper action toward the Gary, IN mayor on CNN before the projection was finally called.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out tomorrow. Splitting the delegates in Indiana, the NYT says 56-42 in NC...

What a nailbiter! It will be interesting to see how Hillary treats the win. She squeaked by, but the delegate situation still favors Barack. Somehow I have a feeling this is gonna still go on for a while...
harmonyfrance harmonyfrance 9 years you think you could call it now CNN? It's 99% reporting. Geeze!!

Okay, CNN hasn't updated numbers for 30 minutes, John King is saying they're counting the absentee ballots (slowly? by hand?) so it seems like we're stalled at 95 percent of the vote counted for a bit. If anyone hears an official announcement, give a holler! Boy, oh boy!

can i also just add that john king on CNN is so annoying with his map thingie. he goes back and forth every two seconds to the same thing. i just thought that was funny, lol.

i cant believe im about to say this but i feel for hillary, she cancelled all of her appearances tomorrow and there is word that she had to loan herself another sum of money these last couple days. i think may 20th is it for this primary fight as it was said on MSNBC tonight, that night is going to put obama over the top for delegates and pretty much secure the nomination for him!!

i cant believe how close indiana is right now, she will probably win it but boy it sure turned out to be a heck of a race there. so much for the rev. wright stuff huh? obama killed it tonight!!!
