Bachmann Clinic Glitter Bombed

Bachmann Clinic Gets Glitter Bombed by Gay Barbarians

The glitterati are at it again! This time they are targeting Michele Bachmann, who is known for her antigay sentiments (and, in general, nonsensical beliefs), and her husband, Marcus. Mr. Bachmann has a Christian counseling clinic that uses therapy to "cure" homosexuals of their gayness and has called gay people "barbarians who need to be disciplined." So a group of activists decided to protest the antigay clinic by glitter bombing it today. The self-named group of "gay barbarians" was organized by the same activist behind the glitter bombing of Newt Gingrich at a book signing in May. I happen to love glitter, so I think it's a fun and peaceful way to get your point across, but I'm not sure if it's actually effective. See more pictures of the sparkly protest on Facebook, and tell me, do you think throwing glitter at people is an effective way to protest antigay politics?

It would certainly be physically harming if it got in their eyes... ;) But, yeah, mostly just cleaning up after it would suck! Although much better than other protests.

I think it's great because no actual vandalism is involved. However, this will absolutely not pull anyone on their side. Cleaning up glitter is a b!tch.

I enjoy multiple forms of protest. Glitter bombs are not excluded from that sentiment.

I think it's stupid, immature and ineffective. It's fine to protest but once you go into someones business or throw something at people, you are crossing the line in my book. It's hard for me to take these people seriously and I fully support equality for everyone. Besides, glitter can be harmful if you get it in a persons eye.
