Bank Robbing Do-Gooder

Why did the Good Samaritan get thrown in the slammer? Because he stole the goods he gave away. Last May, a 22-year-old Birmingham man robbed a bank. He was eventually caught, and recently given a 41 month prison sentence. Most of the stolen funds were recovered, but a small sum of money was lost for good- literally- because it was given away to the local homeless.

And so, we return to the age old question: which is more important, the means or the end? Bank robbing for charity: public good -or- good grief! Giggle Girls, discuss.

Kind of Robin Hood-ish. We have no idea where that money really went. That could be his cover-up, or could have stereo-typically bought booze and drugs or he could have bought food and clothes for all the homeless people. We'll probably never know. But that's really why we have the laws laid anyway, because you can't judge every one's morals. You just have to draw a line and on one side you're right and on one side you're wrong.
