HF, I didn't recognize that picture at all - she looks generically British in it.

"so yeah, she's not really making a sound argument for sticking in the race with this example, but she is DEFINITELY not suggesting that obama may be killed. that's just ridiculous to assume." I completely agree with this statement!

i tend to agree with olbermann, but this is way out of line. theres NO WAY hillary clinton was suggesting that she's staying in the race because barack obama might be assassinated. i'm not a hillary supporter but it's clear to me (because i have the ability to critically think for myself) that she was just stating the facts, that this is not the first primary to have gone into the early summer. what she forgot to mention was that for MANY years, including 1968, california held it's primary in june. bobby kennedy was shot the night he won the california primary. fast forward to 2008 and this primary race has been over for a few months and it's still may. so yeah, she's not really making a sound argument for sticking in the race with this example, but she is DEFINITELY not suggesting that obama may be killed. that's just ridiculous to assume. olbermann needs to quiet down for a bit and think.

Overall, I agree with you Jillness...words can have power on their own without the added "emphasis" i.e. screaming that Olberman uses. I think Olberman is morphing into his archenemy O'Reilly. Just another screaming commentator.

Y'know I regard myself as a centrist...and not of a particular political party, so I'm pretty objective when it comes to all the candidates...HOWEVER Keith Olberman's rant was ridiculous. He has turned into a spiteful, hateful analyst that I don't think is deserving of recognition. His whole rant seemed like a personal vendetta against Hilary more than anything else, and he is a factor that continues my doubt in the media.

I don't know if Keithie can help himself in the word department, Jillness. He might think/speak that way in his brain. Does anyone else think he is handsome, or am I crazy?

Olbermann was pretty...intense, but I think he backed up what he was saying with fact, even if he was a bit dramatic. I had no idea she made the same reference 4 or 5 times over the past few months. That does change things for me. Hmmm. :? Not sure what to think, I will have to mull it over. I think his words would have greater effect if he didn't try to dress them up so much. Let the truth speak, Keith. Relax.

Olbermann went nuts. Holy shit. That guy was angry. He did a good job of outlining all the shitty Clinton campaign moments though.

I watched the entire KeithOlbermann 10 minute rant, and you know what, I agree with every word he said, even if he was yelling.

Maybe summer's going to be interesting: Washington, DC) Today Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) called for former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan to appear before the House Judiciary Committee to testify under oath regarding the devastating revelations made in his new book on the Bush Administration’s deliberate efforts to mislead the American people into the Iraq War. “The admissions made by Scott McClellan in his new book are earth-shattering and allege facts to establish that Karl Rove and Scooter Libby – and possibly Vice President Cheney - conspired to obstruct justice by lying about their role in the Plame Wilson matter and that the Bush Administration deliberately lied to the American people in order to take us to war in Iraq.

Sorry about the double post.

I thought Chuck Todd was right on target about McClellan this morning in an interview. He stated that McClellen felt used and kept in the dark about a lot of important matters. He was kept out of the loop and made to look foolish in front of the press. McClellen is now trying to redeem himself and his name.

I sort of agree with Donklephont(& Raci) about McClellan's timing, but I also think had he simply spoken out he would have been branded like Cindy Sheehan and kicked aside. They're already going to work on him in the media. This way, he's got it all out there. Better this way than never.

Woops! That sound be: "The Wall Street Journal is NOW owned..."
Jillness Jillness 9 years
The Wall Street Journal is not owned by Rupert Murdock aka Fox News, so yeah, it isn't surprising!
