I want an emoticon with Obama riding that unicorn.

The unicorn has to want to appear.

I agree, too! Quite the coalition here...

I couldn't agree more.

Wow. It is amazing how things spiral.

Haha. Neeeevvvverrrrrrr! The eye rolly on is the worst. But a regular smily face isn't that bad. And you can just make a regular smiley face without it turning into a cartoon if you put a space. : ) And there's always "haha," or just a parenthetical "j/k."
amybdk amybdk 9 years
You're RIGHT! :jawdrop: Bring it, Torg!
lilkimbo lilkimbo 9 years
And yes, torg, I do see how it could come off that way, but that was not the intention. Before we know it, torg will be promoting the use of :oy: !
amybdk amybdk 9 years
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? Torg, are you promoting the use of emoticons? :jog:
lilkimbo lilkimbo 9 years
And I do have to say that you can interpret almost anything as snippy. I thought, "so technically, it did reach the Senate" was snippy. But I don't really know how it was intended, it just came off that way to me. There are multitudes of ways to interpret comments made by people you don't even know on the Internet.
amybdk amybdk 9 years
Sad! I will miss your comments, lilkimbo.
True-Song True-Song 9 years
But...can you see how without a smiley or something that could come across the wrong way? Especially with Gemma giving you the evil eye...
lilkimbo lilkimbo 9 years
Well, it was meant as a joke, but it doesn't even matter. My short lived try at commenting again is over for now. I am glad people got to see my new avatar, though!
True-Song True-Song 9 years
I actually thought "Richard Shelby and John McCain are not the same person" leaned a little ever so slightly a little bit towards the snippy side, but I figured a joke was a better way to respond. I'm doing my part to promote unity in Sugar Land! I am glad you're commenting again! Especially with that new icon, your repeating models on all the consecutive comments look like a scary evil robot army.

Anyway, this is not even worth arguing over. Both candidates support divestment, does it really matter who supported it first? I remember now why I prefer to discuss things with people outside of Citizen.
lilkimbo lilkimbo 9 years
Well, not about everyone. Torg appreciated it.
lilkimbo lilkimbo 9 years
I didn't say you said it was the same person. I thought after everyone's talk about how this used to be a friendly place and we are all so civil that some people could appreciate a little humor, but I guess I was wrong.
lilkimbo lilkimbo 9 years
I didn't say that it didn't reach the Senate, I said it didn't reach the Senate floor. There's a big difference there. Literally thousands of bills are introduced and brought to committee every year. McCain didn't even know about this bill. How could he have encouraged it?
Jillness Jillness 9 years
Um, yeah, I never said they were the same person. Shelby is a Senator, so technically it did reach the Senate. If it was a cause that McCain championed, you would think that he would encourage the legislation. It passed the House by 408-6, so it sounds like it had a lot of attention and approval from both parties.

>Richard Shelby and John McCain are not the same person. Haha, thanks for clearing that up. It's like that post from the other day about identifying people of different races...some people think Republicans all look the same. : )
lilkimbo lilkimbo 9 years
Right, and Richard Shelby and John McCain are not the same person. He held it up in committee, correct?
Jillness Jillness 9 years
Alabama Republican, Richard Shelby held up the divestment legislation.
