James and Jodi's took the sweet and simple approach with their romantic Cape Cod, MA, wedding, utilizing the gorgeous natural setting and the help of friends and family. Photographer Evangeline Lane shares a bit about the day:
"James and Jodi, who met and fell in love in high school, tied the knot at a beautiful private home in Truro on Cape Cod. The weather was stormy and romantic but, luckily, without a drop of rain. The lovebirds wanted their guests to relish in the festivities and be in the moment, therefore cellphones and cameras were banned during both the ceremony and reception. Freshly shucked oysters, an awesome band, hip and cool guests from all over the world, and a plethora of pies made this a wedding to remember."
Jodi adds that the wedding was really a team effort, with everyone chipping in to help. "The table settings and pretty much all of the decor was DIY and mostly found in antique shops," she says. "My mother did the plotted arrangements for the ceremony, and the florist did the bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, wrist corsages, and chuppah. Our family friend, who did the oysters, is a shell-fisherman in Cape Cod!"
