If Every Person Is Responsible For His Own Life, then why all the complaining about 9/11 to begin with? Or do you mean only in some situations? The reason people were asking whether it was safe to breathe was because no one was sure what the combination of planes exploding, people dying and buildings collapsing might do to the surrounding air. Many people came to help with search and rescue efforts and clean up efforts - a number of them have gotten seriously ill or died from lung diseases since then. So next time there's a disaster, remember you pitch in to help at your own risk. The government's just there to take credit.

It's the correct decision if you hold it up to Constitutional Law. Touchy Feelies will complain and blame Bush, Cheney, and the man on the moon, but Constitutionally, she cannot be held liable. Every Person Is Responsible For His Own Life. If You Have To Ask Another Person For Permission To Breathe, You May Want To Do Your Own Investigating. Unfortunately, we have Judges in the Country who want to place blame on some other person rather than placing responsibility on the complaining person. Repeat: Every Person Is Responsible For His Own Life. If You Have To Ask Another Person For Permission To Breathe, You May Want To Do Your Own Investigating.

"A Department of Justice lawyer had argued late last year that holding the former head of the Environmental Protection Agency liable would set a dangerous precedent in future disasters because public officials would fear making public statements." So now, they can say anything that pops into their head? Kind of makes having someone be the point person for information a useless exercise.

I'm glad people are finally going to stop expecting the EPA chief to be able to somehow magically tell if the air is dirty!
