Last weekend I went shopping for a new fall wardrobe at a very fancy boutique in my neighborhood. I paid, left the store and walked to my car. I was extremely pleased with my purchases, but since my bill was so large, I decided to take another look at what I had just bought to see if there was anything that I could live without. As I was checking the garments against my receipt, I realized the store hadn't charged me for the $250 skirt I had "bought." I know that I should have walked back in and told them about it, but instead I just kept going.
I know it is wrong to keep something that you didn't pay for, but this is their mistake not mine, right? The mark ups are ridiculous on clothing and the store is snooty and overpriced as is. That's how I am justifying this incident. Am I stealing or did I just catch a lucky break?
