Dear Poll: Do You Have Sex When You Have Your Period?

Whether you get your period every month, or every few months, we can all agree - it's no fun.

I'm sure you've heard that having sex can actually be beneficial during your "time of the month." Sex is a great stress-reliever, so it can improve your mood and if you're lucky enough to reach orgasm, the muscular contractions you are experiencing in your uterus can also relieve cramps.

With all that said, I want to know...

I don't see the problem, except the mess of course and that can be overcome.

We generally avoid it, but sometimes it will happen, and it usually goes great. It's afterwards when I realize that we're a filthy mess that I'm grossed out lol.

I do sometimes feel extra horny during my 'visit', but the thought of sex during it is kind of gross. So, no to that.

Hey when old Aunt Flo's here the 3 of us get in the shower and it's all good!Haha! It's great for relieving cramps and i actually think that, for me, the orgasms shorten the length of time I have my period. We've been doing this for years.

Used to, but then my husband and I read that at that moments it's easier for women to get infected, etc. Then we just stopped it.

I'm surprised that so many people find it gross. I imagine you are the same people that pretend to your partner that you simply never pee or crap. Menstruation is a normal bodily function, kids. If you're in the mood during your period, go for it. -And if your guy is so severely grossed out at the thought of menstrual blood, you should think about finding another guy.

my libido is always up at that time but, my man refuses me!! it's weirds him out to see blood on his man bits but i just think he's been brainwashed by puritanical ideology that says womens cycles are gross and women should be ashamed of them and hide them at all costs. frankly i find the whole subject infuriating!!

We did when we first started dating, but he's changed his mind and now he thinks it's gross. Bleh.
