Dear Poll: Will You See a Movie Just For the Eye Candy?

If you haven't checked out the hot pictures from the LA premiere of Stop-Loss you really must. The serious man candy attached to this film has my interest piqued big time! Of course, I enjoy an Oscar-worthy film as much as the next movie buff, but I also like a movie just for the sheer entertainment of it. There's nothing quite as entertaining as perfect biceps and chiseled chins, and this one is supposedly heart wrenching, too! Let's find out if you agree. Do you ever watch a movie just to check out the hotties?

Yes Definitely and though I think this movie probablyl will be pretty good I must admit I'm really going to see it bc I want to see Ryan's Sexy @$$......I will also see a Denzel or Johnny Depp movie for eye candy as well.

kh61582...I wouldn't say anti-war automatically equals coward. I think there is something to be said for a hot man who would rather resolve a problem in a meaningful way than through this movie is seeming even better now!, intelligent men! Yes please!

I can appreciate a hot actor but this movie is anti-war and men that are cowards are kind of a turn off.

Yep, I'll see every movie Gerry Butler is in whether the story interests me or not simply to see his hotness

I usually prefer to see movies I'm interested in plotwise( and hot guys are a bonus) but I will admit I have seen some movies purely for the eye candy (Troy comes to mind)

No. I LOVE movies, but I'm actually pretty picky about which movies I watch. The plot has to have some substance...I can't stand predictable, unrealistic movies. I hate "chick flicks". I like something that will keep me guessing or get me thinking. I love when I connect with a plot or a character and I get lost in the movie.

Generally no, but is HAS happened...I saw "Lords of Dogtown" because of Heath (the actual movie turned out to be reason enough though!)...and of course Troy :INNOCENT: :rotfl:

Most of the movies I watch are for the eye candy, but it's not hot guys I'm looking for. I want to see extravagant sets and amazing costumes. If a movie isn't visually interesting, I'd rather read a book.

hell yeah. and at home i'll watch w/o the sound if it gets in the way :ROTFL:

No. Sorry, the plot synopsis must be strong in order for me to give any movie the time of day. Otherwise, I lose all interest.

i never thought about seeing a movie for the man-candy but i was flipping through the tv the other night with my bf and he put "Troy" on. I think i sat there with my jaw-dropped and a silly grin on my face for a good 7 minutes. my boyfriend did about 50 push-ups later that!

I have to be engaged mentally in some way before I'm interested, so I can't say I've ever paid attention to anything just for male eye candy. My biggest erogenous zone is my mind. ;)

Ohh Party, I love Troy. I loved it b/c of the history stand point. The men were just a bonus.

I rarely see movies. I have seen previews where I'm like, "JAKE GYLLENHAAL -- MUST SEE," but then I just don't make it to the theater.

Ok, I've seen every Fast and the Furious. No, plot. No acting involved, just hot cars, and hot boys.

One of my sisters and I went to see Step Up in theatres JUST to see Channing Tatum....thinking there HAS to be at least one scene where he takes off his shirt because he is so hot and sweaty from dancing up a storm. Sadly, no. Not one topless scene. We were extremely dissapointed!

That was the only reason I saw Step Up (mmm Channing Tatum!!) but I actually ended up liking it. Unless Stop-Loss gets completely PANNED by the critics, I'm definitely seeing it!

I'm with ninjastarlet. The only movies I would go see for the eye candy must star either Ryan Gosling or Johnny Depp. They are two of the very best actors around and the fact that they look GOOD doesn't hurt. Mm.

I chose "I don't seek out the hot guys, but if they're in it, I sit back and enjoy!" with the exception of Johnny Depp... but he's not only hot, he's such a good actor I'm sure that anything he's in is at least a decent film. I don't know if I could sit through a bad movie just for the eye candy...
