Do Tell: Do You Still Have the Same Circle of Friends?

The older we get, the harder it is to keep in touch with old friends. If you're one of the lucky ones, staying connected doesn't seem like a chore, but for most of us work, family, relationships, and distance can make it much more difficult. I still have my core friendships in tact, adding some and losing some along the way of course, but do tell, do you still run with the same circle of friends for the most part?

yes, and I'd like to keep it that way. I've always have a little group of friends that is quite tight, and honestly, I can't understand those people that are able to have a million friends and then don't seem to get along that much with them and forget about them easily... I prefer quality over quantity! :)

i only keep in touch with one friend from high school, and i graduated over 12 years ago. she's lives in delaware and here i am in oregon, so we haven't seen each other in a while. but we talk every few months. as i get older i learn to let people come in and out of my life. i've learned alot from them.

Most of my friends are from elementary, middle, and in high school. I still keep in touch with them, even though we're in different distances. I keep in touch with them on Facebook.

for the most part I am still in the same circle since high school. some of my friends have moved away and some have drifted apart but most of my good, close friends are still the same

My inner circle is still the same. It's about three people. My outer circle (more casual friends) have changed over the years. It's so ironic -- my husband and I were just discussing this last night. Right now, I'm content with the personal relationships in my life. I have three people who I can genuinely confide in, and they accept me and love just the way I am (flaws and quirks and all, and even when I was imperfect towards them in the past). Of course, I give back the same support and respect. On top of that, these people are very good people -- good hearts, good souls, smart, intelligent, etc. I am blessed that people like them extended their friendships to me. They bless me.

I've learned that I'm terrible at keeping up with friendships when I don't see the people every day in class, at work, in the dorm, whatever. I wish I was better at it but I'm learning I'm not the only one, so that makes me feel a little bit better. Lately my job takes me to different cities so I've gotten to catch up with some old friends. Some of the friendships are rekindling; in other cases it was just nice to see them again.

We all stayed really close until people moved away after college. The ones who live near each other in the city are a really tight clique, but it's hard for everyone else to get together. Not that many people want to put the effort forth, even to email or IM. I'm still close to my high school best friend who only moved 20 minutes away. My current boyfriend went to my school but was the year above me so we weren't close then. And I IM my best friend from college, but she's too busy and travels too much for us to see each other, so we aren't close anymore.

Nope not me. I've had it pretty bad growing up. Some females and I just couldn't see eye to eye on things. So nope. As long as I have my family, God and myself I'm all good.for now.

I'm only 20 so I can't predict the future, but I believe my girls that have always been there for me will continue that way. There is about 5 of us that have been inseperable since we met 6 years ago. We have gone through it all, and no matter what happens will never let go of what we have. I believe God puts certain people in your life for the long run, and others He puts there for a short time just to teach you a lesson....

I don't keep in touch with my old high school friends as I should. I have two high school friends and 1 college friend I keep in touch with. For the most part, my main confidants are my brother and sister (my best friends) and my co-workers (they are awesome).

I've hopped countries so I don't see my high school friends (who lived in a separate state anyway), nearly as much. We talk online, though, and I get to see a few of them during the summer.

my high school friends are my home circle of firends. i guess i have two circles, one high school one college. my high school friends and i are pretty tight..the 8 who always chill after a semesters worth of college and when we see each other, its like we never left..all pretty chill. funny thing is that the friendship oddly formed the summer at the end of high school,..majority of us actually didnt hang out during the school year. i hope and bet the circle of friends will last. its always nice to have peesp u can trust, laugh, and just be plain stupid with

We are all either in our 30's or going into and 90% of our circle have known each other since 6th grade. There have been only a few new friends over the years, mostly someones new Girlfriend or Boyfriend.
