Do Tell: What Do You Do When You're Down?

Do Tell: What Do You Do When You're Down?

We all have our ups and downs, but when you're feeling blue, it's important to do whatever it takes to pick yourself back up. Every once in a while it feels good to just be down so you can evaluate your emotions, but no one likes a cry baby. So ladies, do tell, what do you do to change your mood when you're feeling down?

It depends on the situation, but some things that work for me: going for a walk, listening to my favourite music, going shopping, watching comedies, hanging out with my family, going to work and keeping busy. Oh, and there's always chocolate.

Working out with a good playlist on my ipod, shopping, or talking to a friend or family member.

Sometimes I go shopping, but that doesn't always help, when things don't fit right and I can't find anything that makes me feel worse. And I like to watch stupid Japanese tv shows and Japanese boyband videos, as they are always so funny and laughing always makes me feel better(I do study Japanese so that might explain my fascination for these things).

Hmm...when I'm down? Well I: - shopping, - cooking for others, - work out (Yoga), - listen to music (anything fast beat!), - read a novel - bubble bath, - movie night (or day), - or if worst comes to worst...sex usually does it!

I usually hit the mall, but end up feeling more depressed by the consumerism I see and am a part of. Once I leave empty-handed, I let myself watch whatever I want on TV or DVD and take the time to cook something marvelous and special for myself. Maybe call my mom or best friend too.
