Do you tell your friend that she loses her identity to her boyfriend du jour?

And check out stylish Mischa Barton shopping with rocker boyfriend Cisco Adler. The Brandon Davis dating Mischa always dressed like a lady. Her style was chic and sweet...never like this. Oh Mischa, don't morph for a man, we love your fashion sense!

Would you tell your friend if she was consistently making self transformations whenever she began dating a new guy?

unforch u can get tied up in being with someone and as time goes on you do things like him without realising. My cousin tho is the extreme of this, alll she would do is talk about him and everything reminded her of him, she had nothing to say unless it was about him, i couldnt say anything to her tho because she gets really upset and it would prolly end up in a row! I on the other hand have never done this i have been with my fiancee for 3 years and still go for weekends away with my friends and never talk about him and have always kept my true self!

I think young women try different looks in order to find out what they really like. I personally have never changed my style in dress, friends, attitude or music for a guy. I probably would not point it out to one of my friends, unless she was getting into drugs or being abused. Then it would probably back fire on me but, I would give it a try when she asked me for advice. I don't want to push some one away, who may need my help later. So, I would handle it very delicately.

My best friend in high school was like that. She dated a LOT of guys and changed herself to suit each one. One year she'd be a biker chick, the next, a preppy girl playing tennis and golfing. I saw her through a punk rock/pink hair phase, a Deadhead hippie phase, a hip-hop phase, and more. And it wasn't just her appearance and musical taste that changed, it was her entire persona. I never said anything because I didn't want her to get angry. But, after college, we grew apart, because I started to feel like I didn't know her at all. I see her maybe once a year now. Sometimes I wish I'd said something but then we'd probably be on bad terms instead of just distant terms.
