Dustin Hoffman Prefers Arranged Marriage

Dustin Hoffman Thinks Arranged Marriages Make Sense

"Arranged marriages I think make a lot of sense because you're not under the pressure of being in love. It's an easy contract. You don't have to like each other and then whatever happens, happens."

— Dustin Hoffman's not-so-sentimental thoughts on love and marriage at the Little Fockers press junket. He also divulged that he and his second (and current) wife slept together on their first date. Somewhere Lisa Gottsegen is shaking her head.

In most cases, the groom and bride don't even know each other until a few weeks before the wedding or the day of the wedding. Marriage is very hard as it is. I couldn't imagine living with someone I didn't know or who was a complete stranger, or who I didn't feel anything for.
