The Bride's 2-Piece Engagement Gown Almost Upstaged the City of Paris in the Background

Theresa and David met at university in Montreal, but they lost touch when David moved to Seattle for work after graduating. It wasn't until he reached out to Theresa on Facebook six years later that they reconnected and began talking every single day. They fell in love shortly after she flew to Seattle to visit him.

Later on another visit to see David, Theresa had no idea that he had flown out her friends to Seattle to surprise her when she arrived. They said they were there for her birthday, which was coming up, but the actual reason was for the proposal. The next day, they went on a treasure hunt throughout the city, solving riddles with photos of David and Theresa on the clues. The clues led to a nearby beach and lighthouse, where they had a picnic dinner with their friends on the beach. As the sun was setting, David asked Theresa to come with him to see the lighthouse. Though Theresa wanted to eat her food first, he insisted and ended up proposing to her on their walk. For that same birthday he used as a cover-up for the proposal, David surprised her with tickets to Paris.

"We thought it was the perfect opportunity to have our photo session there and we are so glad we did!" Theresa said. "Sunday morning for our session was the first time we truly saw the Eiffel Tower, and to see it early in the morning when it wasn't crowded and with the sun rising in the distance was magical."

Theresa sported two looks — a gorgeous orchid-purple gown and a light two-piece dress — as they shot their engagement photos throughout the city of love. The couple plan to incorporate themes from their Paris trip in their upcoming wedding and to definitely visit again.
