I can't believe that there was a mistrial to start with. He came out of the house with the murder weapon and told the driver, "I think I just killed someone." Plus, when people commit suicide this way, they open their mouths. She was shot through her teeth. That means her teeth were clenched shut when the gun was fired. Plus, how would she know where a gun is in a home that she has never been to before? Not to even mention his abusive history. I am just so glad they finally got it right. That poor woman! I think too many juries these days are watching waaay too much CSI and are removing "reasonable" from the phrase "reasonable doubt".

I don't know if it's murder, but for sure I thought it was manslaughter or such based on reading about the case A LONG TIME AGO. Then again, I didn't really follow up and read more details. But I'm glad that he's finally convicted. I hate the argument that she was committing suicide, in that way?! I don't buy that defense argument. AT ALL.

I actually really enjoyed the story about Thomas' lecture, and I think Thomas himself made a lot of sense. However, the author of the piece seemed a bit confused.

Thomas' speech, or talk, didn't make a whole lot of sense. Is Franken going to be allowed to take his seat now, or is five months not long enough for Coleman?
