"Just like we are having more powerful hurricanes" Really?! Where? "Probably not normal for a town's lake to disappear to the point of being able to walk across the middle of it" It is if they divert the water upstream, which is going on. " bet they also have record high temperatures this summer," We'll see. I wouldn't bet on it, given the cooling that has taken place over the last two summers.
The more appropriate term would be climate change. The overall effect will be global warming, but the (overall) warming is causing an increase in extremes, thus climate change. Just like we are having more powerful hurricanes, and wider spread droughts, that are ended by wide spread flooding. Probably not normal for a town's lake to disappear to the point of being able to walk across the middle of it, for a couple years, and then that lake be refilled in one day, by a storm that flooded the town. See, Las Vegas receiving the most snow in 30 years, that's an extreme. I bet they also have record high temperatures this summer, likely along side a drought. When did it become normal to have tornadoes in November and December, not in Tornado Alley? Indulge yourselves if you must, but you have children, shouldn't you think about their (and their children's) future.

It's about time that Colonel Bagosora and his cronies have been convicted of genocide. To bad it took the UN 14 freaking years to do so, even though they were fully aware of what was going to happen to the Tutis, long before it started and they still didn't step in to stop it while it was happening.

What is going on with that Iraqi journalist? Why would he be doing this? What are the conditions in Iraqi prisons and what is the maximum sentence for throwing two shoes at a foreign head of state?
