Scores of Witches and Wizards Show Up at Kings Cross to Head Back to Hogwarts

In the epilogue for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry and Ginny head to Platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross Station to see their children off to school at Hogwarts. That epilogue, 19 years after the end of the story, happens to fall in the year 2017, which means today is the day Harry and Ginny would be at King's Cross. Also at King's Cross? Every Harry Potter fan who could feasibly get there to celebrate.

The station got in on the fun by even including the Hogwarts Express in the train schedule display, likely confusing muggles passing through. Witches and wizards from all walks of life — and all the Hogwarts houses — came out to the train station to take pictures at the iconic hidden platform, and even Warwick Davis, aka Professor Flitwick, made an appearance.

Harry Potter loyalists flooded the station with their dedication to the wizarding world and likely made author J.K. Rowling proud. It goes to show that Harry Potter will probably never go out of style, especially for those of us who are witches and wizards at heart.
