Your Favorite Disney Characters Just Got a Seriously Hip Makeover

Sep 23 2014 - 2:00pm

In the world of hipster Disney, Snow White's apples are organic and Peter Pan doesn't want to grow up because it's too mainstream. Cinderella opts to ride her fixie to the ball because she's concerned about the environmental impact of a pumpkin carriage. Belle's library is filled with eco-feminist literature, and Sully scares kids with stories about being artistically stifled by "the man." Princess Tiana dreams of opening a sustainably sourced coffee boutique in Brooklyn, NY, instead of a soul-food restaurant in New Orleans.

Australian design studio DesignCrowd [1] decided to see what this übertrendy cartoon realm would look like, inviting graphic designers to submit their imaginative takes on hipster Disney characters [2]. The results of this crowdsourced experiment will blow you away! Take a look at some of the best submissions, and try not to get your suspenders in a twist with excitement.
